5.5 Google Calendar Integration
If you connect your Google Calendar to Teak, we access your calendar data to provide automated booking services.
What We Access:
- List of your Google Calendars (to let you select which one to use)
- Calendar timezone and name (to ensure bookings are created at correct times)
- Calendar events (to check availability and create/update/delete appointments)
How We Use Calendar Data:
- Check your calendar for scheduling conflicts before confirming bookings
- Create calendar events when customers book appointments via Instagram
- Update events when customers reschedule
- Delete events when customers cancel
- Display your connected calendar name in our dashboard
What We Store:
- Calendar ID and timezone of your selected calendar
- Event IDs for appointments created by Teak (to enable updates/cancellations)
- OAuth access tokens (encrypted) to maintain your calendar connection
What We Do NOT Access:
- Event details of appointments not created by Teak
- Attendee information from other events
- Calendar sharing permissions or settings
- Any other Google services (Gmail, Drive, Contacts, etc.)
Data Retention:
- Event IDs stored only while appointments are active
- When you disconnect Google Calendar, all calendar-related data is deleted
- When you delete your account, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days
How to Disconnect: You can disconnect Google Calendar anytime:
- Go to Settings in your Teak dashboard
- Click "Disconnect Google Calendar"
- Or revoke access via Google Account Settings
Google's Privacy Policy: Your use of Google Calendar through Teak is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Teak's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data with trusted service providers only to operate or improve our services. All such parties are required to keep data confidential.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal data. However, no internet transmission is completely secure. Use our services at your own risk.
